An individual who sent a message causing a Nashville private Christian school to close back in March was arrested for alleged cyberstalking, according to court documents. The person also appears to identify as a member of the LGBTQ community.
On March 24, days before the anniversary of the Covenant School shooting, Christ Presbyterian Academy received a message containing “disconcerting language towards the safety of our campus,” school officials said in an email to parents at the time, WSMV reported. CPA and neighboring Currey Ingram Academy in Brentwood closed the next day due to safety concerns.
WSMV later reported that MNPD identified and engaged an individual suspected to be responsible for sending the troubling message, but police decided to not arrest or charge this person. Police also reportedly determined that no actual threat was made against the school in the message.
The Department of Justice provided The Tennessee Star with court documents identifying the individual who sent the message as a former student of CPA named McKenzie McClure, who also goes by Kalvin McClure.
According to the court docket and the criminal complaint against her, McClure was arrested by federal agents on April 29, a little more than one month after she left a troubling voicemail for CPA. McClure remains in federal custody at press time.

In her voicemail to CPA in March, transcribed in the criminal complaint, McClure referenced Deadpool 2, a movie about a Marvel superhero where one of the characters returns to the orphanage where he was raised to kill the abusive headmaster.
McClure also made several posts to her account about CPA, including video of the school itself and herself talking about her experience there as a student, according to the complaint which cited her X account. She also made troubling references to the Columbine school shooting.
The complaint also features still images from February of McClure on CPA’s grounds captured on the school’s security cameras.
McClure’s arrest came a little more than one year later than the Covenant School shooting on March 27, 2023, when a transgender individual who attended the Covenant School as a child entered the building and killed six people. This person’s writings leading up to the shooting have yet to be released by authorities.
